About registering
Why register?With an account you can comment on every article, including the older ones. Without one you can only comment on articles less than a week old. Registering also keeps automated programs from filling the comments with spam.
What details do you want, and why?
Your username is the name that appears next to your comments. We use your e-mail address to tell you about comments you have subscribed to. The password is what you sign in with later; we only keep it encrypted. If you fill in a website, your name on a comment becomes a link to it.
What happens to my details?
Your details are not passed on to third parties for commercial purposes. There is more about that in our privacy statement.
