Wait before throwing something away!

Don't throw all sorts of things away too quickly! They can make great material for clothing or accessories. Over the years, I've had some bizarre shoots with clothing and accessories made from materials you would never expect to see in a photoshoot.

Of course, it helps enormously to have a crazy creative stylist and a model like Nadine! The images in this blog post are a mix of styling by Nadine and me.
Think, for example, of some wrapping paper and old curtains.

Or perhaps some Christmas wrapping paper.

But post bags work brilliantly too!

But one of my favourites is this one. Strongly inspired by 1950s pulp sci-fi films, it is made almost entirely from paper bags.

Sticking with the sci-fi theme, how about a robot made entirely from cardboard?

But a newspaper can work well too.

Or how about tissues? And while we're on that subject ... What about toilet paper?

And sometimes there's lots of fun to be had after the shoot with bubble wrap. And to stay with the plastic theme for a moment, what about some bin bags? Impossible? Oh yes, it is possible!

And finally, although I have many more examples, what do you think of using plastic material? Don't use it as clothing, but as a background!

Translated from Dutch.
I have LOADS of them.
And my children don't want them.
So those will be thrown away after my death, -

Do I really have to respond to that seriously.... well okay then.
Translated from Dutch.
1. Stop collecting things immediately.
2. Better yet, don't buy anything at all anymore.
3. Once you've sold all your belongings....
4. Take a pill....
Problem solved, the children get all the money and don't have to throw anything away :D
Seriously though
I take photos because I enjoy it, and I don't care at all what anyone does with them afterwards. Just like I enjoy collecting Batman and comic book stuff. What Brian or Annewiek do with them after I'm gone.... well, they'll just have to see about that. The fact is that I've had an ENORMOUS amount of fun with it. -

Don't know if my comment got through.
Translated from Dutch.
You know, you take photos because YOU enjoy it, what does it matter what someone else does with them later, you make them for yourself anyway.
I can already see that I no longer collect comics, Batman, guitars because maybe Brian will want to get rid of them later, I live my life now and want to enjoy it. -

Bringing them out every now and then makes me sooo happy.
Whoever inherits them, they'll be happy with them. -
