Portrait photography tip: Use a wide-angle lens

Most photographers think of typical portrait lenses when it comes to portrait photography, such as an 85mm. But it can also be fun to move away from these commonly used lenses and choose one that few portrait photographers would use.

You can shoot a portrait with any lens, after all. For example, you can use a wide-angle lens, which puts not only your main subject in the frame, but also a lot of the surroundings.
When you use a wide-angle lens close to your model, you also get a lot of distortion in your image. You usually don't want distortion, but when you use it as an effect, it gives your portrait something special.
Like in the photo above. So use the specific properties of a lens to create striking photos.
