Fujifilm's most sought-after cameras are the models in the X100 series, especially the X100 V. The camera manufacturer has now announced the sixth generation: the Fujifilm X100 VI.

The X100 series from Fujifilm consists of rangefinder-style cameras that are very popular because of, or perhaps thanks to, their retro appearance. It started with the original X100, followed by the version with an 's' for second added. Then came the 't' for third, and the 'f' for, you guessed it, fourth.

After the X100 V, the Roman numeral for 5 and the fifth generation, there is now the sixth version: the Fujifilm X100 VI. The camera has 40 million pixels and finally In-Camera Image Stabilization (IBIS). This stabilises up to six stops.

In terms of appearance, there are hardly any differences. The camera has a tilting screen, a fixed 23mm lens, second generation, and a hybrid viewfinder that can be optical, electronic or a combination of the two.

There are the old-school dials for aperture, shutter speed and ISO value. You get image recognition for people, animals and vehicles, among other things. And you get 20 different film simulations, including the new REALA ACE.

The Fujifilm X100 VI will be available from the end of February. The recommended retail price is 1,799 euros.
