With a Brenizer portrait, you create a photo by combining several photos, taking the individual shots with a very shallow depth of field. This gives you a wide-angle photo with beautiful background blur.
You usually do this with a standard camera to imitate the effect of a large-format camera. In this video, photographer Steven Schultz uses an analogue medium-format camera to apply the technique.
I knew this technique as Bokeh Panorama, but it is also known as the Brenizer method. The name comes from Ryan Brenizer, who uses this technique a lot in his photos.
A fun portrait technique to try for yourself.
