    Vraagje: als je camera instellingen in nieuwe situatie niet hebt aangepast dan wordt alles toch donkerder? Je moet dan toch eerst diafragma aanpassen dan wel iso omhoog doen? Bedoel je dat met opnieuw licht meten?

    Opnieuw meten betekend inderdaad of de flitsers aanpassen of diafragma/ISO.

    Niet de sluitertijd omdat de flits een puls is en niet cummalatief.

    Begin van verhaal dacht o jee daar gaan we weer.. maar gelukkig eindelijk iemand die het hele verhaal goed uitlegt. Ik laat mn modellen ook bijna in mn 150 cm octabox kruipen (glare one... niet die van godox die hebben kleurafwijking!).
    Of voor meer dramatisch huid(lekkere rimpels) eentje van 45 cm. De overgang van licht naar donker is supergaaf en... superbelangrijk... GEEN HOTSPOTS!

    Ik ben helemaal geen wiskunde wonder. Bij een hoop van de technische uitleg haak ik af, maar dit stuk is erg helder geschreven en nu snap ik ineens een aantal dingen. Wel nog een vraag. Je artikel gaat over werken met licht in de studio. Maar ik kan me ook voorstellen dat het net zo werkt op een zonnige dag op een plek met veel schaduwen. Dan niet licht dichterbij of verder weg, maar jijzelf als fotograaf korter op e onderwerp of verder weg. Klopt dat of heb ik toch nog niet helemaal begrepen?

    Bijna, maar niet helemaal.

    Qua licht is de relatie tussen lichtbron, onderwerp en achtergrond belangrijk. Wil je buiten iets met schaduwen doen kun je alleen de relatie tussen model en achtergrond veranderen, maar omdat de zon zo verschrikkelijk ver weg staat zal dit voor de kwaliteit niets uitmaken.

    Wat er wel gebeurt natuurlijk is dat de schaduw op een andere manier op de achtergrond valt. Ik noem die wel eens de DEXTER RULE.

    Volg de lijntjes in een scene en de scene vertelt het verhaal. Voor licht geldt dit hetzelfde, trek lijnen in je gedachten vanuit je lichtbron naar je onderwerp en je kan voorspellen waar ze op de achtergrond vallen. Door de afstand van de zon zul je wel de schaduw dus kunnen verplaatsen qua hoogte (model weg van de achtergrond), maar niet qua kwaliteit. Als je dat wel wil is er een simpele oplossing.

    Je moet een nieuwe lichtbron maken. Dit lijkt moeilijk maar in feite zou je een doorzicht reflector kunnen gebruiken. Aangezien dit nu je nieuwe lichtbron is kun je nu wel spelen met de relatie lichtbron, onderwerp en achtergrond. Immers de reflector is nu de lichtbron.
