TTArtisan has released a fun little gadget for photographers, an LED light in the shape of a film roll. With the included hot shoe adapter, you can also put it on top of your camera.

Don't expect too much from the light source, though. In terms of brightness, it may be just a little brighter than a smartphone light. So it certainly won't replace your flash.

The attachment to the hot shoe adapter works magnetically, which means you can also turn it upwards and downwards. This also allows you to attach it to any metal surface. That can be useful if you want to light something in your scene.

The LED light has a fixed brightness, but you can change the colour temperature. There are 3 settings: 3000, 45000 and 6000 Kelvin, from yellow to white. You charge the light via a USB-C cable.

To complete the retro look, the included box is also designed like a film roll box.

The light itself costs just 7 euros, but unfortunately shipping to the Netherlands costs 25 euros. But if you are already ordering one of their other products, I would certainly add one of these lights.

€7 for the gadget +€25 shipping costs? Those shipping costs include customs fees (+/- €15). Ttartisan lenses are easily available through, for example, Kamera Express or one of the other webshops.
