For several months now, I have shot a few rolls, 35mm and medium format.
It has that magic from the old days again, what had you photographed again, were your settings correct, are you developing it properly? And when the result is there, it still has something more special than looking at a digital photo directly on your screen and loading it onto your computer at home afterwards.

While photographing, you are more aware of the fact that the number of photos is not ‘infinite’ and that rolls are not free every time either: you think more carefully about your photo before pressing the shutter.

I have gone through all facets of analog photography, even with color. I am glad to be rid of it. I do not see any advantages at all. The disadvantages were also decisive for me, such as using a lot of chemicals and the health risks, especially when developing and printing color,if you do it yourself. I found the biggest disadvantage was waiting until the roll was full and then just seeing what it had become. But yes, there are also people who swear by vinyl records.🤓
