This Friday, I am giving a workshop on flash photography on location. I will help the participants take great photos of a model at an old farmhouse. I thought it would be nice to bring some example photos that had been printed. I found some fun Polaroid-style photos printed on card for this.
For every shoot, I always bring moodboard photos, simply printed on paper. Paper is much easier to work with during a shoot than constantly reaching for your phone to look up your Pinterest board.
Individual photos taken at the same location, with a hint of how to create each photo, seemed like a great addition. On paper, though, it does not feel very professional. Having them printed on sturdy card gives you something proper to hold.
A quick Google search brought up these photos on luxury card from Smartphoto.nl. They print photos on all sorts of things, but this set of 13 different photos was a perfect match for my idea.
I received them today and am pleased with the result. Printing on card does not produce the best quality, due to a lack of contrast, but it more than meets my expectations.
