How do you find a cool perspective?

Finding a cool angle or perspective is one of the things I always tell the participants in my workshops. Sometimes you can even exaggerate the effect by using an extreme wide-angle lens.

And sometimes this means shooting from a very low viewpoint, from the ground, as you can see in the first photo. Essentially, it comes down to this: always try to be and remain creative with your photography. Photographing everything from eye level will become boring very quickly...

A high viewpoint for dynamic action
I always tell people that taking a good photo involves much more than simply pressing the button. Choosing your angle or perspective is one of those vital elements that can make or break a photo.
For the photo below, I used a small ladder so I could photograph the model from a high viewpoint. Especially with action photos, you would expect a lower angle instead. But I was delighted with the dynamic result of this photo, shot from above with a wide-angle lens.
So the next time you shoot, don't just go for one angle. Try other perspectives too. You might really like the result!
