You can easily create a great background with a little preparation. Look for a few nice rolls of wallpaper at a local DIY shop.

You only need one roll per type of wallpaper. That way, you can be ready for a few tens of euros. When choosing the rolls, look for striking colours, nice patterns and attractive textures.
Cut a piece of wallpaper from the roll and stick it to a wall or door with a piece of tape. If necessary, use two strips next to each other to give yourself a little more room in your photo. You can now switch backgrounds in your photo very quickly by changing them or hanging a few next to each other.
You can let your model lean against the wallpaper, but of course you can also deliberately keep some distance between your model and the background to render the background out of focus.
Use a telephoto lens to quickly create blur and to avoid having to stick large areas of wallpaper to the wall.
