Flash light has a white daylight colour. In some situations and creative setups, it is useful and fun to work with coloured light. You can use colour filters for this.

There are various systems available for placing colour filters, often called colour gels in English, over your flashes.

Some flash units already come with a limited number of colour filters as standard.

I use a DIY solution based on small strips of colour gel, which I attach to my flashes with Velcro, but ready-made solutions are also available from Honl, Falcon Eyes and MagMod, among others. You can see one on the middle flash in the photo.

Eerlijk gezegd, ik heb er voor al mijn flitsers liggen, bijgeleverde, gekochte en zelfgefabriceerde maar ik heb er nog nooit één gebruikt. Als sfeermaker laat ik mijn flitslicht meestal bouncen tegen een wand, plafond of reflectiescherm. Goed idee om eens anders creatief te worden.
