Canon has improved the lens cap on the rear of its RF lenses. You heard that right, the Lens Dust Cap RF mark II. This might well be Canon's most popular new product in 2026. It solves an annoying problem.
What is the problem? When developing the new lenses, Canon's 'clever' designers had to develop a new lens cap. New bayonet mount, new lens cap. That is nothing more than normal.

Are you going to modify your lens caps? Then do so at your own responsibility. If you use a hobby knife, be careful with your fingers. You do it at your own risk. Or order the new Lens Dust Cap RF mark II. The choice is yours.
