Let op, een NAS is geen backup. Ingesteld op mirror geeft het wel wat backup, maar het zit nog steeds in hetzelfde kastje.

Een SD van 64GB voor rond de 20 euro is geen snel kaartje. Heb je de snelheid niet nodig, is dat prima natuurlijk.
Maar een iets sneller kaartje kost echter tussen de 3 en 5 keer zoveel.
Moet je camera een CF Express of XQD kaartje hebben, werkt het helemaal niet meer.

Vergis je niet. Als je 1TB aan opslag bereikt, zijn dat 15 kaartjes. Dat is 300 euro.
Een simpele (maar trage) externe SSD heb je voor de helft van dat bedrag.

Echter, als het systeem wat je gebruikt voor jou werkt, perfect toch?

Herkenbaar verhaal.
Ik kan me nog herinneren dat ik een EOS 1D mark III had met 10 fps. Dat was enorm snel en gaf kansen. Nu wordt erom gelachen want het is 'maar 10 fps'
Tegenwoordig kies ik ook vaak voor 12 fps in plaats van 20. Dat laatste vind ik al te veel.

Dat is een goed punt.
Hetzelfde kan je dan doorredeneren naar de enorme Photoshop- of Affinity-bestanden die kunnen ontstaan als je daar gebruik van maakt.

Interessant.
Als je camera geen gecomprimeerd raw-bestand kan opslaan,, scheelt dat inderdaad. Als je camera wel gecomprimeerde raw-bestanden kan opslaan, en je kiest daarvoor, heeft het opslaan als DNG volgens mij geen zin.

Als je Jpeg als reserve noemt, denk ik aan 'back-up'. Alleen is een jpeg nooit een back-up van een raw. Het is een bewerkt raw-bestand.
Heeft je camera twee geheugenslots? Schrijf dan tegelijkertijd het raw-bestand naar de twee kaartjes. Dan heb je wel een echte back-up.
Heb je maar één geheugenslot, tja, dan is jpeg een soort (magere) back-up.

Met andere woorden, als jij een saaie fletse kleurenfoto hebt 'red' jij de foto door het om te zetten naar zwart-wit?
Volgens mij werkt het zo niet.
