JOBY, known for the popular GorrilaPod, has announced a new flexible tripod, the PodZilla. I still regularly use a GoriilaPod that I've had for years. The new tripod will be available in a medium and a large version.

The PodZilla medium version can carry up to 1 kilogram in weight, so it is more suitable for compact cameras, or flashguns, which is what I usually use the GorrilaPod for.
JOBY expects the medium version to be used mainly for smartphones, so it comes with a holder for this as standard. It is available in several colours, such as grey, red, yellow and light blue. The medium weighs 350 grams and is 25 centimetres long.
The PodZilla large version of the PodZilla can carry up to 2.5 kilograms. It is only available in grey and weighs 430 grams. The tripod is 31.5 centimetres long.

The nice thing about flexible tripods is that you can easily attach them around, for example, a pole or a fence.
I haven't been able to find any prices in euros yet, but in America you pay 40 dollars for either version.
