Following the successful original Loupedeck and Loupedeck + photo editing consoles, Loupedeck recently unveiled the Loupedeck Creative Tool, also known as the Loupedeck CT. It is a small and slim console that is streamlined, customisable and still very powerful.
Loupedeck CT is compatible with a wide range of software used in various industries, such as photography, video, design and music.
For us photographers, it is of course mainly something to use in Lightroom and Photoshop. The Loupedeck CT can work with these out of the box.
And while the original Loupedeck console only contained physical buttons, dials, knobs and sliders, the Loupedeck CT features customisable new touch interfaces.
The original Loupedeck consoles were roughly the form factor of full-sized keyboards. The new Loupedeck CT is about the size of an open hand and can be stored more easily in your camera bag for editing photos on the go. It comes with its own carrying case and the USB cable can be removed.

In terms of construction, the Loupedeck CT features an aluminium cover and dials, LED backlighting and machine-grade ball bearings.
The top half of the console is dominated by a 3 x 4 grid of touch buttons between two touch strips. The functionality of these buttons is fully customisable and can be changed based on your needs and the software you use.
You will also find a large customisable dial, six small tactile dials, 8 number keys and 12 other frequently used keys.
With customisable, colour-matched, customisable buttons, dials and touchscreens, you can create as many workspaces as you need, says Loupedeck. You can divide them by the stage, project type or whatever you want to edit.
The Loupedeck CT is available immediately and costs 499 euros. So it is not cheap, but it looks like a useful tool.

Mooi ding. Prijzig, maar voor fotografen die veel grote series (trouwreportages?) moeten wegwerken wel te verantwoorden denk ik. Ik wacht nog even een paar prijsdalingen af
