In summer, the city becomes more relaxed, and you have to look for compositions. I also find the play of light and shadow interesting. Dark places become even darker because of the bright light outside.
What I notice is that people start wearing more white. Of course, a hefty zoom lens is also white/grey so it does not get too hot (really!), so it is not strange that people protect themselves in the same way.
Those white clothes make a perfect contrast with the dark areas. Try photographing your subject on the boundary between light and dark, so it stands out even more against the darkness.
It is also the season for festivals and other events. It is fantastic to immerse yourself in a sea of cheerful people with your camera. If that does not produce some great pictures!
