I have the Fujifilm X100V, the fifth version, and I will never sell it. This camera is my weapon of choice. It almost always comes with me, even when I am doing a commercial shoot with my full-frame cameras. Just perfect for those spontaneous moments in between.
The Fujifilm X100V has a tilting screen, which the Ricoh GR, for example, still does not. I shoot JPG files in the camera with a film simulation, black and white, and I am quite happy to print these photos at poster size.
The controls are intuitive. But before this becomes a promotional piece, back to the connection with street photography.
This camera also has a huge number of followers. Its retro appearance means that you have more conversations with people on the street than you do with other cameras. The viewfinder makes you really feel that you are taking a deliberate photo.
And it is still small enough that people do not feel you are taking photos for a magazine or social media. It is a likeable camera!

Hi RAWShooter, I think it depends a bit on who you hang out with/meet up with. There really are “cliques”. All things considered, I come across a lot of 35mm and 28mm full-frame. And as many brands as colors in a rainbow. That diversity is also what makes street photography fun for me, you know. To each their own!
