Je zegt het inderdaad goed, een goedkope statief hoeft niet slecht te zijn.
En als je een niet al te groot budget hebt kan je toch nog een goed statief kopen. Je moet dan gewoon goed kijken naar aanbiedingen. Gewoon dagelijks de sites bekijken of je een statief ziet die goed afgeprijsd is.
Heb zo zelf een carbon statief kunnen kopen voor 99€, omdat het model eruit ging en de winkel het merk (slik) niet meer ging verkopen. Dus ze wilden van de inventaries af.
( en net als met lenzen en tassen, 1 statief is niet genoeg )

Nando, je hebt groot gelijk. Er gaat niets boven een goed statief. Jaren geleden heb ik een tripod gekocht van het Nederlandse merk Redged. Of dat een goed statief is volgens jouw normen, kan je over redetwisten. Heel duur was hij niet en de bijgeleverde statiefkop (balhoofd) is in ieder geval waardeloos in mijn ogen.
Ik heb later een nieuw statiefkop gekocht van Sirui. Daar ben ik uitermate tevreden over.
In verband met mijn mobiliteit en stabiliteit die behoorlijk achteruit is gegaan (ik kan niet meer stilstaan zonder steun), heb ik begin dit jaar besloten om een goede monopod te kopen. Dat is de Sirui P-325FS geworden. Deze monopod gebruik ik nu bijna altijd tijdens het fotograferen, want ik heb er zelf ook steun aan en kan nu wel staand fotograferen. Zonder die monopod moet ik om te fotograferen altijd gaan zitten.
De statiefkop van Sirui die ik al had, zit nu op de monopod. De tripod gebruik ik nu enkel nog bij lange sluitertijden, macrofotografie en in de studio. De monopod gaat nu altijd mee als ik op pad ga. Hij heeft ook 3 uitklapbare pootjes aan de onderzijde en dat is best handig. Als ik het middenstuk er tussenuit haal kan het ook als tafelstatief gebruiken. Multifunctioneel dus.

Helder. Maar niet alleen je kostbare camera staat erop.
Als je een beetje tele wilt gebruiken, kan het gewicht aardig oplopen,men ook dan moet het zaakje stabiel blijven. Ik ben geen kapitaal krachtig persoon, heb dankzij een mazzeltje een D500, en gebruik daarop van tijd tot tijd de Sigma 150-600, die combinatie weegt een kilo of 3.5 wat voor veel statieven best wel zwaar is. Jaren terug een Giottos aangeschaft (alu, de fiber was me te duur) die zelf ook een kilootje of 4 is. Een hele sjouw, maar dan staat het wel stevig, hoewel het balhoofd het nog wel moeilijk heeft.

@Donald. Ook voor Redged geldt, het ligt eraan wat je hebt. Ik heb zelf 2 redged statieven en 1 monopod.
De monopod is geweldig. 1 statief is ok (zeker als je henniet helemaal uitschuift. ), bal hoofd ervan is ruk. Het andere statief is goed, met een goed balhoofd.
Heb ook een schommelkop van redged (2ehands aangeschaft) En die is ook gewoon erg goed.

@Paul, voor de combinatie met de sigma kan je beter een schommelkop aanschaffen. Als je die 2ehands aanschaft hoeven ze niet duur te zijn.

@Mac , de tripod die ik heb van Redged is de TST-423K met bijgeleverde balhoofd. Voor zover mij bekend bestaat Redged niet meer, al zal je er nog wel tripods van kunnen kopen.
De tripod gaat nog, maar het balhoofd is dus rommel. Redged maakte tripods in verschillende prijsklassen. Er zullen er zeker ook goede bij zijn.
