The period when autumn is at its most beautiful is always remarkably short. Three or four weeks. That period starts now, so this is the time to head out into nature. Of course, you can do that even if you prefer photographing portraits rather than mushrooms.

I had been thinking for a few years about taking a photo of a model in a dress made of autumn leaves. You do need to find the right moment for that, though.
By the time I noticed that the trees were beautifully coloured, it was often already too late to organise a shoot like that. This year, I remembered in time. So last Wednesday, after the necessary preparation, I was in the woods with model Franka for an autumn shoot.
