How can you show in Photoshop which parts of your photo have lost colour because highlights are blown or shadows are blocked up? This article explains the simple actions you need.

Show overexposure and underexposure in Photoshop

In the Basic panel (or already in the RAW editor), click the small triangle in the top right-hand corner of the histogram to show the areas where the highlights are blown, or click the triangle in the top left-hand corner for areas with blocked-up shadows.

All areas where the highlights are blown are shown in red (as you can see above). When you move the Highlights slider to the left, this colour loss will decrease and hopefully disappear.

If you have enabled the warning for blocked-up shadows, these areas will be shown in blue. You can improve these areas by dragging the Shadows slider to the right.

Thank you, that is a good tip.
You have quickly got your photo right and you can perhaps take another look at the white balance as well.
