In this video, Maria Perez gives you 10 practical tips for beginner photographers to improve your photography. A fun collection of simple tips that anyone can try.

Here are the tips again:

1. Go out and take photos
Your photos will quickly improve if you take more photos. Go out regularly to take pictures.

2. Learn about settings
Aperture, shutter speed and ISO. The three basic settings you need when taking photos. Learn what they do and try out how they work in practice.

3. Shoot in RAW format
By shooting in RAW, you force yourself to edit your photos as well. This allows you to get much more out of your photos than when you only use straight-out-of-camera JPEGs.

4. Experiment with composition
Try lots of different compositions in your photos. Learn what the rules of composition are, go out and take photos, and discover what your own style is.

5. Take your time
Take your time when taking photos. Think about the image you are looking for before taking the photo.

6. Use a tripod
Using a tripod can help, as it forces you to slow down. Don't have a tripod? No problem, use a wall or something else to place your camera on steadily, for example.

7. Look for the light
Photography is about light. Experiment and see what the direction of the light does to your photo.

8. Analyse your old photos
Look at your old photos and take them again, trying to make the same photo even better this time.

9. Use a prime lens
A zoom lens can be convenient, but consciously choose a lens with a fixed focal length for a change. This forces you to pay more attention to your composition and move around more to photograph your subject.

10. Make sure you enjoy it
In the end, it's all about enjoying taking photos. So go out and enjoy your photography.
