Sony is launching a series of videos for photographers, offering tips to help you take better photos. The series is called #SonyInFocus. The first two videos are now online, covering portrait photography and car photography.
In the first episode, portrait photographer Anouk Boonstra shows you how a portrait is shot. For the shoot, they travelled to Havelte and Noordwijk. Naturally, the photographers use Sony equipment.
In the second episode, automotive photography is discussed. In this video, Zilver Schmitz, filmmaker/editor and Sony Imaging Ambassador, shares his tips and tricks on the subject.
He shows, among other things, how to create light painting shots: 'painting' a car with light.
He also covers how to take panning shots and rolling shots. With panning shots, the photographer moves along with the car, while rolling shots are taken of a moving car from another moving car.
