Posing can be one of the most difficult aspects of photography for many people. It takes time and effort to master it and gain confidence.
If posing is something you personally struggle with, this useful video gives you plenty of tips and examples specifically for working with men.
This excellent video comes from Samuel Elkins and shows you some great poses and tips for photographing men. Posing is often the most difficult part for many photographers.
Posing differs fundamentally from many other aspects of photography: it is not something that can easily be coded into objective measurements. And so it requires a different way of thinking than many other things, which makes it something many photographers dread.
It can help enormously to know a few reliable poses that you can fall back on when you are having problems with a specific shoot, knowing that you have that safety net. This gives you much more confidence when trying to direct your subjects.

Definitely an interesting video. But what also stands out to me is that the model 'knows' what he has to do. And I think that is also very important. He would have had more difficulty with a beginner model, or with a new model. Then everything takes quite a bit longer. Samuel also gives few directions, which shows that the model is experienced. With few words, he does what he has to do. That is impressive. I would also find it incredibly interesting to have him do this with an average person who is almost never in front of the camera.

It's simply a medium format camera.
