Do you enjoy photographing animals? It can be a challenge. From a photography hide, it becomes much easier. I rented a hide to photograph the animals that could be seen there for a whole day.
It is great when you encounter an animal in the wild. It could be a bird, a deer, or a squirrel. The chance of this happening while walking is relatively small, but it is all the more rewarding when you manage to take a good photo of it.
From a photography hide, the chance of photographing animals is virtually 100%. Although I never wanted to do this, I did it a few times as a guide for Nature Talks. And it turned out that photographing this way is actually quite enjoyable.
Now I have rented a hide for my partner and me. We photographed there for a whole day. We saw fourteen species of birds and several squirrels. To my horror, I had taken more than 1,700 photos during the six hours we spent in the hide.
How do you sort through all those photos? How many should you keep? I have learned to be very relaxed about this. If it is not good, it goes, and of the rest, I keep only the best photos. In the video below, I show you how I do this.
