Thanks to David's powerful and compelling photography, his popularity among photographers, art collectors and consumers is unparalleled.

His large and iconic monochrome images have been exhibited in galleries and museums around the world and have a distinctive, unique style.

This took him to the top as one of the world's best wildlife photographers. David has been using Nikon equipment for 33 years, from the first steps in his career when he worked for The Times and took the iconic photograph of Diego Maradona during the 1986 World Cup final.

He has since established himself as one of the world's best-selling art photographers. David recently played an essential role in the launch of the D850.

David Yarrow's work reflects his passion for philanthropy and conservation, something he is keen to show through his special project as Nikon's European ambassador, which he is currently working on in Amboseli, Kenya.

David says: My photography career has taken an unconventional path, and you can safely say that I have never allowed myself to be put in a box, for example by one central 'theme' or 'area of expertise'.

This has meant that photography has remained a form of redemption for me, a chance to explore every corner of the world and capture extreme environments with the rare wild animals that call them home.

Nikon cameras and NIKKOR lenses have played a major role in every path I have taken.

The design and ergonomics have continued to improve, and I cannot think of another brand that understands the needs of both professional and amateur photographers better.

Photography is the art form of our generation, and I hope that my work as Nikon's European ambassador helps encourage and inspire people to use their eyes more than their mobile phones. That is what this work is about.
