Canon recently announced the EOS 850 DSLR camera. It is the successor to the EOS 77D and 800D from 2017. This camera also has an APS-C 24.2-megapixel sensor. New features include the image processor and a 4K video function.
Fast burst
The new Canon has a fast burst rate of 7 frames per second thanks to the built-in Digic 8 image processor. The vari-angle touchscreen helps you determine the composition from any angle: above your head at concerts, or close to the ground for macro photography.

You can also record video in 4K resolution at 25 or 24fps. The CMOS features phase-detection focus pixels, and in live view you can use eye and face detection while taking photos or filming.
The EOS 850D includes Canon's renowned Dual Pixel CMOS autofocus, plus 45 cross-type focus points. Together, they provide extremely fast and accurate focusing.
It is also great that the EOS 850D has eye detection (Eye-AF) and advanced iTR-AF with face recognition. That means sharp portrait photos every time, shot after shot.
The camera weighs 515 grams and includes Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The tilting 3-inch LCD screen on the back has 1.04 million dots.
Large range of lenses and accessories
The great thing about a Canon DSLR camera is that you can choose from a huge range of lenses and plenty of accessories. For example, you can use a large number of EF or EF-S lenses on your Canon DSLR.
Or you can add a Speedlite flash for more creative lighting options. You can improve the sound quality of your videos by connecting an external microphone.
Price and availability
The body-only version costs 920 euros, while a kit with an EF-S 18-55mm f/4-5.6 IS STM lens has a recommended retail price of 1,020 euros. Canon will release the EOS 850D on 20 April 2020.
