Tamron has announced the Tamron-LINK⢠(model TL-01), a compact Bluetooth accessory that enables fully wireless remote control of compatible Tamron lenses via an iOS or Android smartphone.

17 Tamron lenses for Sony E and Nikon Z have the required built-in USB-C port. You can now plug the Tamron-LINK into this port, providing a wireless Bluetooth connection via your smartphone (Android or iOS). The Tamron-LINK weighs just 2 grams.
By pairing your Tamron lens with your smartphone, you can control your lens from your smartphone using the Tamron Lens Utility 5 app. For example, you can adjust the focus or set the aperture.
For video, this allows you to perform precise focus pulls, for example. And for photography, you can create a focus time-lapse, where you make a time-lapse video with the point of focus gradually shifting.
