There you are, faced with a beautiful wide landscape and not enough angle of view to capture it. No problem, there is a simple solution. Create a panorama using the quick-and-dirty method.
There are times when you want to head out with a simple camera, or a single lens on your camera. Perhaps a fixed focal length, or a 'walk-around' lens. In that case, you may find that you don't have enough wide angle.
For me, this happens with my Fujifilm X100t camera. It has a fixed focal length equivalent to a 35mm field of view on full frame. At other times I head out with a 50mm lens on my mirrorless camera.
When I find that I don't have enough angle of view, there is a simple solution, a panorama. It doesn't have to be complicated. Two landscape-oriented photos are often enough. Just shoot handheld.
Normally, you would hold the camera in portrait orientation to get enough height. But that isn't necessary when you are only using two photos for your panorama. The point is to get just that little bit more width.
Modern software such as Lightroom, Photoshop, Affinty and others can merge these two photos perfectly. You then have a photo with a wider angle of view than you had available.
