Towards the end of 2023, and at the start of 2024, I told you about my photography resolutions. I haven't forgotten them. But what came of this resolution? Let's take a look.
I had a resolution for 2023. It was to photograph movement. The intentionally moved photo, ICM in English. I did get started with it, but I didn't really look back deliberately to see how I was progressing.
I also mentioned a resolution for 2024. The plan was to do more with light painting. Read the article where I mentioned it again.

Light painting requires darkness. That means it is a nighttime activity during the summer months. It is really something for the dark and long evenings. So I didn't do it for quite some time.
I certainly did get started with this form of photography. Perhaps less than I had hoped, but I definitely kept my resolution. I even recorded it once so I could look back at it myself.
I made a selection of my light painting. It is far from perfect, but remember that this is still practice. And even when it isn't perfect, it stimulates creativity and is challenging to do.

Light painting is far from easy, especially if you want to do more than just draw a circle with a light tube. My wish is to actually draw, and that requires much more practice. I will keep at it, including in 2025.
I want to return briefly to the article in which I mentioned light painting as a photography resolution. It received quite a few responses. What came of it in your case? Tell us in a comment below this post.
