Last night, there was another episode of Het Perfecte Plaatje on RTL4. In the elimination competition, Dutch celebrities compete to take the best photos. This week, they worked on Silence in nature and Nude with a message.

Silence in nature

The first challenge this week was to capture silence in nature. A little abstract, then, but on the other hand not too complicated.

The guest judge was photographer Claire Droppert. She specialises in making conceptual photos in which calm is often an important element.

For this challenge, the Dutch celebrities used the Canon EOS R6 mirrorless camera and a Canon RF 14-35mm f/4L wide-angle lens. The Canon R6 is a real all-rounder that is actually well suited to almost every type of photography.

Nude with a message

The second challenge was the nude shoot. This shoot returns to the programme every year. This time, the idea was for the Dutch celebrities to convey a message with their nude model as well. Based on the idea that nudity can draw attention to such a message.

The guest judge for this shoot was photographer Mike van den Toorn. Mike also often uses nudity in his photos to convey a message.

For this challenge, the participants used the Canon EOS 90D digital SLR with a 24-70mm f/2.8L lens. A lovely combination to photograph with.

The 24-70mm is, of course, a wonderfully versatile and fast lens, which is excellent for taking portraits like these. I have this 24-70mm myself, and it is also the lens I use most.
