Canon has introduced the new EOS R6 V full-frame camera, aimed specifically at content creators. At the same time, the RF 20-50mm f/4L IS USM power zoom sees the light of day. Together, they make a powerful combination for creating content.
The EOS R6 V is a camera aimed at video. It is the smallest full-frame camera with in-body image stabilisation. The camera weighs just 688 grams and can record 7K 60p raw video.
Besides this resolution, oversampled 4K 60p is possible, as is 2K at up to 180p. The EOS R6 V has Open Gate recording for maximum flexibility.
Alongside the camera, Canon is releasing the RF 20-50mm f/4L IS USM power zoom. This allows you to zoom using the motor, for very smooth zooming in and out. The lens weighs 420 grams and, in combination with a camera, can provide up to 8 stops of stabilisation.
The Canon EOS R6 V will be available from 24 June at a recommended retail price of 1,995 euros. We do not yet know the availability and price of the RF 20-50mm f/4L IS USM PZ.
