Nikon announced a new lens this week, the Nikkor Z DX 24mm f/1.7. This prime lens was developed for Nikon's Z mirrorless cameras with an APS-C sensor.
The 24mm angle of view is comparable to 36mm on a full-frame camera. It is the first prime lens for the DX format on mirrorless cameras.
You can focus from as close as 18 centimetres. The lens weighs just 135 grams. If you want to fit a filter, the filter size is 46mm.
For anyone with a DX Nikon Z camera, I think this is a great little lens. The equivalent 35mm focal length is well suited to street photography or an environmental portrait, for example. Combined with the nice maximum aperture, it also works well indoors.
The Nikkor Z DX 24mm f/1.7 will be available from mid-June and costs 319 euros.
