Nikon has announced a new zoom lens. The NIKKOR Z DX 18-140mm f/3.5-6.3 VR offers wide-angle to telephoto in a compact lens. It promises to be the perfect lens for photographers who do not want to carry much, but still want a pleasantly wide zoom range.
With the NIKKOR Z DX 18-140mm f/3.5-6.3 VR, Nikon has further expanded its range of lenses for mirrorless APS-C cameras. Combine this lens with a Nikon Z 50 or the Nikon Z fc and you have a great compact system.
The lens weighs just 315 grams, making it easy to take with you. It could, for example, be a good lens for photographers who travel a lot or spend a lot of time out and about. It has built-in image stabilisation that can provide up to 5 stops of stabilisation.

The NIKKOR Z DX 18-140mm f/3.5-6.3 VR has fast autofocus, Nikon reports, while the eye-detection AF of the Z cameras makes it easy to get people in the frame perfectly sharp.
The lens's closest focusing distance is just 20 centimetres in the wide-angle position. The lens is also weather-sealed against splashes.
The NIKKOR Z DX 18-140mm f/3.5-6.3 VR will be available from November 2021 for 679 euros.
