Nikon has today announced the second version of its entry-level full-frame mirrorless camera, the Nikon Z5 II. The camera has received a number of updates, meaning you can no longer really call it an entry-level camera.

Dus deze Z5 II zit technisch gezien dicht tegen de Z6II aan. Waarom zou je dan een Z5II kopen als de (wat oudere maar technisch gezien nog steeds beter volgens de stelling) Z6II.

Het zal ook aan de prijs liggen natuurlijk. En ik denk dat je beide camera's even in detail moet bestuderen om precies de verschillen te vinden en te kijken naar wat je zelf belangrijk vindt.

Wellicht vind je het schermpje bovenop de camerabody bij de Z6 II bijvoorbeeld belangrijk. Of juist de extra videomogelijkheden of het draaibare scherm van de Z5 II.

Ik heb beide camera's niet zo uitgebreid naast elkaar gehouden. Van wat ik wel gezien heb liggen ze heel dicht bij elkaar qua specificaties.

Een belangrijk verschil tussen de Z5 II en de Z6 II is de processor: de Z5 II heeft de Expeed 7 en de Z6 II Expeed 6. Ik weet uit eigen ervaring dat de Expeed 7 camera's veel betere autofocus bieden hetgeen met name fijn is als je veel bewegende onderwerpen fotografeert.
Als je voornamelijk statische onderwerpen fotografeert en je loopt tegen een Z6 II aan die aanzienlijk scherper geprijsd is dan een Z5 II, dan is dat zeker nog wel het overwegen waard.
