Frank Doorhof sent me the Geekoto LS-28A Pro Autostand Aluminium light stand. What makes this light stand special is that it opens automatically when you put it down. I tested it in practice during several shoots.

Before the system works, you first have to extend the centre column. You do this by turning the orange part to loosen it. You can then slide the centre column upwards, after which you can put the stand down.
From then on, moving the stand is easy. You lift it up and it folds in. Put it down again and it unfolds and immediately remains standing.
There are also some practical disadvantages. For example, the stand unfolds best on a flat surface. It is therefore not really suitable for use in nature.
The second disadvantage is that the centre column is fixed, so you cannot rotate it. If there is enough space, this is not a problem, as you can simply rotate the entire stand. If the legs have less room to move, whatever you have placed on the stand must be able to rotate.
I regularly ran into this with my action camera on the stand. Geekoto told me that the centre column is fixed to make the stand more stable. However, this also makes it less practical to use.
Conclusion
The folding and unfolding system works fine on an even surface. You can move the stand quickly and easily without the legs getting in the way.
The fact that the centre column cannot rotate is a disadvantage, but this does not have to be a problem if whatever you put on the stand can itself be rotated easily.
