I don't use a smartphone for photography and fliming on principle
I also only use a camera for taking photographs. I categorically refuse to use it for filming, even though that is possible nowadays.
There are excellent video cameras on the market for that purpose. Just because it can do something, doesn't mean it has to. That applies to both the smartphone and the camera. The trade and industry benefit financially from it and we as consumers do not.
Those who think differently may do so as far as I'm concerned. They have my blessing. I am a serious (hobby) photographer and not a videographer/filmer.
Tell me, what is the point of being able to film and take photographs with a smartphone as well, or of being able to film with a camera too?
Now a smartphone also has to have its own tripod and other accessories to start taking photographs and filming with it. Sorry, but it's going a bit too far for me.
