Luminar (Skylum) has announced a new update. It will now be possible to merge an exposure bracket in the software into an HDR image. The dodge and burn function will also become available.
Until now, it was impossible to generate an HDR image from multiple exposures in Luminar. You needed a separate software package for that, such as Aurora HDR. Skylum, the company behind Luminar, has now announced that a plugin for Luminar NEO will be available from 28 July.
The plugin will make it possible to merge an exposure bracket of up to 10 photos into an HDR image. There is a catch, though, the plugin is not free. It costs 49 euros to use this HDR function.
Those who have chosen a subscription will get this plugin for free. Owners of Aurora HDR will also be able to use this plugin for free. However, if you chose a one-off purchase of Luminar NEO, it is not free.

In addition to this option, Supercontrast and Color Harmony will also become available. Skylum says that these two options work in the same way as in Luminar AI, where they were already available.
