Is Yongnuo about to launch an Android camera?

We know Yongnuo for its flashes and LED lights. It is an alternative to the often expensive original flashes from the well-known camera brands. Did you know Yongnuo also makes lenses? And now an Android camera has been announced too, the Yongnuo YN455.

The Yongnuo YN455 is an MFT camera (Micro Four Thirds) with a 20-megapixel sensor and a 5" touchscreen. It runs on the familiar Android operating system that we know from smartphones.

At 16.2 x 8.5 cm, the YN455 is very compact. The body is just 5.6 cm thick and, without a lens, relatively heavy at 670 grams. The camera can record 4K video at up to 30 frames per second.
The YN455 seems to offer smartphone functionality, but without a phone function. There is room for a nano-SIM slot, allowing you to establish a 4G connection. The camera has 64 GB of internal storage, which can be expanded to 256 GB.

The smartpho... Sorry, the camera can be used in the way you would expect from an Android smartphone. You can download and use apps, browse the internet and, although this is not certain, livestream to Facebook and YouTube.
The Yongnuo YN455 is only available in China for CNY 3,900. If this camera also came to the European market, it could cost around 500 euros. Without a lens, of course.
What do you think of a camera like this? Could it become a successful camera if it came to the European market, or is it doomed to fail? Let us know in a comment below this post.

The smartpho... Sorry, the camera
But I don't think many people know this, but Android was initially developed as an operating system for cameras -

Honestly, I'm not waiting for such a camera, nor for the advertising for such a useless thing. I'll stick with my DSLR or its mirrorless version.
I strongly get the feeling that there is an effort to create needs for new gadgets that absolutely have no added value. Industry and commerce are the laughing third parties. -

Unfortunately, Samsung no longer supplies them. On holiday, let those at home enjoy it right away. If there is Wi-Fi nearby at least. Indeed, various apps. Can do everything a phone can except calling, texting or other things related to a phone number.
