Dell has released a new monitor that could also be of interest to photographers. It features LG's new IPS Black Technology, which promises 35 per cent deeper blacks.

These deeper blacks mean that the monitor's contrast ratio is twice as high as that of other IPS monitors. An OLED monitor will still give you considerably more contrast, but it will also cost you considerably more.
The new Dell monitor comes in two sizes. The Dell UltraSharp 32 inch 4K U3223QE and the Dell Ultrasharp 27 inch 4K U2723QE.
The monitors can display 100 per cent of the sRGB spectrum, 100 per cent of rec709 and 98 per cent of DCI-P3. The screen also meets VESA DisplayHDR 400, which is not particularly high.
You can connect the monitor via HDMI, two DisplayPorts or USB-C. The monitor also supplies 90 watts of power through the built-in USB-C hub, so you can use it to charge your laptop, for example.
The 27-inch version costs 793 euros. The 32-inch version costs 1,045 euros.
I currently use an older 30-inch Dell Ultrasharp myself, and it has always served me well. Good image quality at a relatively affordable price.
